The French striker's time at City will be remembered mostly for his calamitous penalty miss in the Championship play-off semi-final second leg against Cardiff City. Kermorgant, or 'Kermit' as he was known to the Leicester fans, took a somewhat flamboyant spot-kick which was saved, leaving him red faced and seeing Cardiff to a 4-3 penalty shoot-out victory.
That miss angered the Foxes fans and Kermorgant was sent out on-loan to French club AC Arles-Avignon for the whole of the 2010-11 season. He'd signed for Leicester after impressing in two trials after becoming a free agent from Stade Reims. He penned a short-term contract with the club before agreeing a two-and-a-half year deal. But things never really got going for the striker and after his penalty miss and season-long loan in France, City released him in August 2011 and he signed a two-tear deal with Charlton Athletic.
