The French-born Ivory Coast winger had bags of pace and plenty of tricks up his sleeves. He was offered trials with Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Leicester before deciding on signing a deal with City. He signed his first pro contract in May 2007 but was sent out on-loan to Bournemouth to gain valuable first-team experience for almost the whole of the 2007-08 campaign.
His form with the Cherries saw him earn a three-year contract with Leicester and he made his league debut for the Foxes against MK Dons in August 2008, setting up on goal in a 2-0 victory. His free-kick away at MK Dons saw him win the City supporters' club goal of the season. He made 32 appearances as City won promotion as league champions.
But he made just one appearance the following season, as a substitute in the League Cup, something that baffled some City fans. Nigel Pearson sent him out on loan to Leeds United and on his return to City he handed in a transfer request, allowing him to sign for Leeds on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.
The jet-heeled winger went on to sign for French side St Etienne following his stint at Leeds.
