The outside-right was thrown into Leicester's struggling Division One side when he signed from Castle Donington in 1909 but couldn't stop Fosse suffering relegation in that season.
He scored on his reserve team debut and his performance was such that he was trusted to perform well in the first string, making his debut away at Sheffield United in February 1909 - one of only three appearances in the blue and white.
He was part of the record 12-0 loss suffered by Leicester, then known as Fosse, against Nottingham Forest and played just one game in Division Two before departing for pastures new.
