Middlesbrough-born Gorman had a time to forget at Fosse. Signing in May 1908 from Liverpool, the centre-half suffered a serious injury on his debut for the club - at Manchester City in October 1908 - and wasn't able to feature again that season until Fosse had already seen their relegation confirmed.
He was one of the club's first signings since they'd achieved promotion and one could only imagine his frustration at having to sit out on the sidelines as his new club tumbled towards relegation, unable to help their cause.
He started his career in his hometown with Middlesbrough St Marys before moving to Newport Celtic, South Bank, Darlington St Augustine's, Darlington and Liverpool en-route to Leicester.
Gorman returned from injury to play for Fosse again, but he was to make just two more senior appearances for the club - his last being an embarrassing 12-0 defeat against local rivals Nottingham Forest. He left Leicester for Hartlepool United but suffered similar injury woes there.
