The lanky centre-back spent three months on-loan at City from Aston Villa in the 2010-11 season. Struggling for games at Villa, the Foxes snapped him up initially on a one-month deal in October of that season to bolster their defence. That deal was extended until January, where Leicester were expected to bid for him on a permanent deal. He looked set to join the club on a permanent basis until Birmingham City came in with a last-gasp bid, and he ended up at St Andrews instead of the Walkers Stadium.
The former England U21 international, who played for Luton Town and West Brom before moving to Villa Park, made 12 appearances during his three-month stay at the club.
