Welsh winger Albert Hodgkinson spent one year at Fosse in a season where the club just missed out on the play-offs, eventually finishing the campaign in seventh.
He arrived from Plymouth Argyle but found appearances both at Argyle and former clubs Grimsby Town and Derby County hard to come by. He got more match action with Leicester, fitting in 34 league and cup matches in the blue and white and chipping in with five goals along the way.
After his sole season as a Fox he moved on to Division One side Bury and got a call-up for the Welsh national team in the process, before going on to play for Southampton and help them to an FA Cup semi-final. He then suffered relegation with both Croydon and Southend before bringing his career to a close with Ilkeston Town and settling down in Derbyshire outside of football.
